The summer transfer window will close in less than a month, having opened on June 14. Of the Premier League’s 20 teams, 19 have made new signings, with Liverpool being the only club yet to add to their squad.
Here’s a summary of the transfer activity so far and what might still happen before the window closes on August 30.
Arsenal
Major Ins: David Raya (Brentford), Tommy Setford (Ajax), Riccardo Calafiori (Bologna)
Major Outs: Mohamed Elneny, Cedric Soares (both released), Albert Sambi Lokonga (Sevilla – loan), Nuno Tavares (Lazio – loan)
Arsenal, who finished just two points behind Manchester City last season, have made a few strategic additions, including the permanent signing of David Raya and the arrival of Tommy Setford. They are also strengthening their squad depth, particularly in central midfield. Outgoings include Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson, and Eddie Nketiah, with Smith Rowe reportedly nearing a move to Fulham.
Aston Villa

With their first-ever UEFA Champions League campaign ahead, Aston Villa have been active in the transfer market. They’ve added eight players to bolster their squad, including Amadou Onana to replace Douglas Luiz. They’ve also seen some departures, such as Douglas Luiz to Juventus and Moussa Diaby to Al Ittihad.
AFC Bournemouth
Major Ins: Luis Sinisterra (Leeds), Enes Unal (Getafe), Alex Paulsen (Wellington Phoenix), Daniel Jebbison (Sheffield United), Dean Huijsen (Juventus)
Major Outs: Ryan Fredericks, Darren Randolph, Jamal Lowe (all released), Lloyd Kelly (Newcastle – free), Kieffer Moore (Sheffield United), Joe Rothwell (Leeds – loan)
Bournemouth has been strengthening their squad with several new additions, including Luis Sinisterra and Enes Unal. They have managed to retain key players, including top scorer Dominic Solanke.
Brentford

The main transfer topic for Brentford has been the future of Ivan Toney. They have signed Igor Thiago as a potential replacement, although Toney’s status remains uncertain. David Raya’s departure to Arsenal and the return of loan players Neal Maupay and Sergio Reguilon have been notable departures.
Brighton & Hove Albion
